11 Revolutionary Black-Owned Marketplaces Making History Right Now
As we wrap Black History Month up, it only makes sense to call out the marketplaces that are revolutionizing the way that we circulate the Black dollar.
One of the most difficult parts of supporting our own is finding spaces where everything is beautifully and intentionally accessible.
While we champion shopping Black and doing so with luxury in mind, we are not the only platform that is leading the charge. We are one of many voices and we wanted to take the time out to call out the platforms that are making history.
Much like our own ethos at SACRD, these marketplaces are doing the work to curate and bring consumers the brands that they want and in a way that’s digestible, mission-driven, and aesthetically pleasing, because we deserve.

Their ethos, which includes creating a space for when the “let’s all support Black folk” trend is over is something we can definitely get behind.

Inkloo
What we absolutely love about Geenie is that this platform is about beauty for all, okay? Created by Chana Ginelle Ewing, Geenie recognizes that all Black lives matter and offers beauty products and imagery that celebrates Black folk from all walks of life. As a queer woman, she saw a void when it came to beauty-representation for people with an array of identities and carved out a space all her own.
