So here’s some background information about me — there aren’t very many Sade songs that I don’t know word-for-word.
Growing up, my dad was a huge fan of the iconic band, and aside from Buju Banton’s ‘Til Shiloh’, (shout out to Buju!) he had Sade on repeat.
Naturally, this turned into a deep personal appreciation of her and her ultra-cool aura. Her music has always been the definition of a vibe to me and now it provides me with all the happy nostalgic feels.
So, when I saw this sweatshirt of her in one of my favorite local stores, Peace & Riot, I was immediately intrigued.
As life would have it, every time I came across it, there was some other pressing purchase that took priority over it. However, I think my birthday weekend is the perfect excuse to indulge.
