The sheer volume of Black talent in the fashion space (or really any space) never ceases to amaze us. Whether it’s innovative processes, designs that are before their time or even a commitment to sustainability, Black creators are making waves now more than ever.

Today, Stitch Fix debuts the ‘Elevate’ collection, the product of their annual grant and mentorship program launched in 2020. The collection features designs by a class of brilliant talents creating what’s next in fashion.

Diarra Bousso of Diarrablu, Jamela Acheampong of Kahmune, Busayo Olupano of Busayo, Marcus Thomas of Marcus Alexander, Bettina Benson of Chole Kristyn and Robyn Sirleaf of Sarep + Rose are the designers who make up the 2020 cohort of brands that should be on your radar.

Each received $25,000 to continue to grow their thriving businesses and advisory support for eight months, the collection is a culmination of an effort to amplify Black voices and talent in the fashion space. The search for the next cohort is already underway, applications for the class of 2021-2022 are open from October 6, 2021, to October 31, 2021, at stitchfix.com/elevate.

To say that we’re excited to have yet another space to shop Black is well, a gross understatement.

Head to stitchfix.com/shop-elevate to check out the designs and read below for more info on each brand’s exclusive creations for the collection.
